B2E: Past, present & future.

It’s been a while between posts for me, so this may be long-winded, but I do have a few things I would like to clarify.
THE PAST:
Now, back when we accidentally started subbing One Outs, we’ve been praised from various fans, some of them even offering help with encoding, typesetting, timing, affiliation, you name it. But then. we were also criticized by a group as well respected as m.3.3.w. I can understand why m.3.3.w is irate at us; we released on the same day as they announced they would pick it up and we didn’t announce anything at all. My rebuttal to this would be: We didn’t release because you announced you would pick it up. We didn’t start because of this either. We worked for a few days on this, and to NOT release it because you guys ANNOUNCED you would pick it up as a SIDE project would truly be a shame. If you had announced this a few days earlier, we would not have subbed this, and I would’ve been like everyone else, waiting on ep 2 from m33w. And an announcement coming from a group with zero cred? Yeah, right. So I hope the hostilities end there. From what I could see with m.3.3.w’s version, their translation was perhaps more literal to me, but the two versions do both get across the same point. Timing, encoding, everything was what you would expect from a m33w release.
THE PRESENT:
Our episodes have been downloaded and watched thousands of times, something I didn’t really comprehend at first. I would’ve been happy if even a thousand people watched our subs. A series as great as One Outs has not received the popularity of some animes like chaos;head and clannad, so I’m more than happy to see more groups release One Outs. Now, some of you may have noticed Hatsuyuki releasing One Outs 1 and 2 like theres no tomorrow. As I did with m33ws subs, I decided to check these guys outs too. From what I could see, it was clearly a mix of m33ws OP, our script, and fancy looking credits to go with a new encode. What I was miffed about 20 minutes ago, was the lack of credit given to our group, as evi and bupo have worked tirelessly to translate this anime. Now, I have spoken to them, the group has apologized, and the situation will be resolved soon. (Still kinda miffed though, but I cant speak for evi and bupo who did not even get a mention).
THE FUTURE:
Wow, fansubbing is hard work. It’s so time consuming! While doing One Outs has been great, I can’t see us doing more series in the future (yet). Episode 4 will be on it’s way; I won’t say when, as every time I do, I jinx it. So please be patient hahhahaaha and I hope you guys keep enjoying our work.

I haven’t watched your releases yet, but seeing how the other groups are just a bunch of retards, I can’t see myself getting any other’s sub for this show.
You did (and still doing) very good job on these series. At first I was a little skeptical (I mean your initial release raw x subs) but now I’m happy that you picked it up.
M.3.3.W’s reaction to this was very stupid, really. Who the fuck claims projects anyway? Actually, this needs more oversubbing.

It’s like saying Nyoro~n > Menclave/BSS/Shinsen at subbing Gundam.
And committing to a group is committing to their way of translation and editing style. But as speedsub fans, you’ll never get the point behind it.
I don’t see anything wrong a project subbed by several groups… at the end the user is the one who decides which one to download.
m33w is a good group and also you guys even if you aren’t well know :3.
Personally I have both versions and I’m waiting for both of your jobs because I think they deserve it. So I’ll wait for you guys *-*

I like B2E best xD, cause other fansubber are slow and they have so many other anime they have to sub which slow them down. Really hope you will continue to sub One Outs, No matter how you see it your the only fansub which is great for subbing one outs xD,<3

Is better at the beginning have only 1 good project than 1000 slow and bad, for now continue so, after One Outs finish or is almost finish you can try 2 projects if you’re accustomed to it. Take your time normally.

I’m not proportioning the entire blame on Hatsuyuki nor Anikat. I’ve spoken to their encoder, rocker, and he was unaware too. As far as I can see, only the translation was copied.
In short, the whole group shouldn’t be blamed for one persons mistake. You’re welcome to use our subs partially or entirely, but please give credit where its due.

When I was told to timing this, I just thought that It’s from our translator. Didnt know that it’s from yours. That’s why I didnt put the credits to B2E.
It’s a nice anime, and I love it. when I decided to help Hatsuyuki in this project, It was just for fun.
So I’m really sorry about this.
i guess i am happy the sub is getting through to so many people (i would never have thought). my long hours of translating has paid off. but at the same time, i am disappointed to see people claiming the result as their own. =(

One Outs is easily the show I was most looking forward to when the fall schedule was released. When it appeared that no one was going to sub it, I was pretty disappointed, so I’m really glad you guys picked this up. Keep up the good work.
Also: If you guys ever decide to pick up a second series, or are looking for one to pick up when One Outs concludes, you should look into continuing Golgo 13. It was dropped by BSS at episode 15 around a month or so ago, and it certainly seemed to be a solid show.
I love your work and I am so thankful that you did pick up this series. I couldn’t be more happy your work. From the first release to the latest, you can see how you improved.
